Program Description

AUF’s Associate of Arts Degree in Hospitality Management and Leadership  provides the unique opportunity to experience the hospitality industry in the globally renowned context of Italy. The curriculum features three available program concentrations:

Program Objectives

The objective of the program is to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to pursue careers and manage ventures in the global hospitality industry and related service sectors. Students will:

• Develop foundational and intermediate management skills related to hospitality, special events, real estate and facilities management, and spa management.

• Gain practical experience through Experiential Learning methods at the creative learning labs associated with the program, engaging with real enterprises and taking on professional responsibilities within the local community.

• Develop a competitive understanding of the hospitality industry, including the marketing and management of local and global hospitality businesses, food and wine sectors in hospitality, and the social and cultural dimensions of the Italian hospitality industry.

The first year of the program is recognized by WACS for the Food and Beverage Service Supervisor qualification level. Please see the concentration-specific pages for additional available certifications.

General Education Requirements

All AA candidates are required to complete at least 21 gen ed credits in the areas of English Composition, Humanities, Mathematics, Physical and Biological Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Italian language.
