Hospitality and Event Management
Program Outcomes
The Concentration in Hospitality and Event Management focuses on developing:
An understanding of hospitality industry structure, standards, and professional practices, with an emphasis on customer service excellence and the operational requirements of hospitality environments
The ability to execute Italian café and table service (FOH) operations, applying service workflow, guest relations, menu communication, and daily front-of-house management fundamentals
The capacity to apply hospitality and event management principles to daily operations, manage FOH service and community events, and develop practical event coordination skills
Exposure to consumer behavior and retail practices across multiple business environments, providing an understanding of diverse guest, consumer, and service experiences within hospitality and related industries
Community and Professional Involvement
Engagement through fashion, design, and cultural programming for the community alongside foundational design and material exploration
Community-based experiential leanring involvement alongside foundational fashion and accessory design projects and intermediate prototyping
Career Opportunities
Event coordinator; event manager; conference center assistant; front-of-house supervisor; guest services coordinator; hospitality supervisor; event consultant; management positions in hospitality, hotel, restaurant, and event-based organizations.
