Programs of Study

FUA offers a multiple study abroad program options throughout the year. Study abroad includes both coursework and professionalizing options such as experiential learning or internship placements. FUA can also develop faculty-led and group programs for requesting institutions as well as offer non-credit enrichment experiences for both groups and individuals.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS

Students can participate in FUA study abroad sessions throughout the year in the Fall, Spring, and Summer in two distinct locations: Florence or Cinque Terre.

Fall/Spring: 16, 15 or 11-Week Session
Summer: 13 or 12-Week Session

Quarter

Fall: 11-Week Session

Winter: 10-Week Session

Spring: 11-Week Session

Summer: 8-Week Session

Intensive

August/January: 2-Week Session

Year-Round: 3-Week Sessions

Summer: 6-Week Sessions

Travel/City-based Intensive Session

Fall/Spring/Summer: 1-Week Sessions – travel/city-based academic experiences can be taken before or after any session.

A complete list of courses and schedules offered in all academic sessions, along with academic calendars and study abroad dates, can be viewed and consulted at the academic schedule and calendar online. Course selections may be subject to change depending on enrollment and availability. Furthermore, the approval of credit loads must be pre-approved for any given academic session, and students wishing to earn credits in addition to the regular load per session must receive prior approval.

FUA courses may be transferred to other higher institutions through credit granted by FUA's School of Record. Please inquire for more details.
