Wine Business and Marketing
Program Outcomes
The Concentration in Wine Business and Marketing focuses on developing:
An understanding of hospitality industry structure, standards, and professional practices, with an emphasis on customer service excellence, professional communication, and the operational requirements of hospitality environments
The ability to execute Italian café and table service (FOH) operations, applying service workflow, guest relations, menu communication, and beverage service fundamentals
Wine service techniques and beverage management principles, together with foundational wine knowledge and professional tasting skills
Exposure to consumer behavior and retail practices across multiple CEMI environments, providing an understanding of diverse consumer, guest, and service experiences within the wine and hospitality industries
The capacity to develop professional wine communication skills through the integration of wine knowledge, tasting, service, marketing, and customer relations
Community and Professional Involvement
Engagement through wine, hospitality, cultural, and community programming alongside foundational wine service, tasting, and customer service practice
Community-based experiential learning involvement alongside foundational wine business, hospitality, beverage management, and wine marketing projects
Career Opportunities
Wine service assistant; wine sales representative; wine business assistant; wine retail specialist; beverage service coordinator; wine marketing assistant; junior role in wine promotion, hospitality, wine tourism, or beverage management.
