Program Outcomes

The concentration in Photography focuses on developing:

• Technical and creative proficiency in photography, from foundational image-making to intermediate and advanced digital photographic practice
  

• An understanding of visual culture, photographic history, and the aesthetic and communicative principles that define contemporary photographic practice
  

• The capacity to produce editorial, documentary, and art-directed photographic work for community-facing and professional contexts

Community and Professional Involvement

• Community-based photography assignments and Blending editorial coverage alongside foundational visual culture and photography studies

• Blending editorials, conference coverage, and group exhibition participation alongside intermediate and advanced photographic practice
  

Career Opportunities

Junior photographer or photography assistant; photo editing and retouching assistant; entry-level digital content producer.
